General FAQ

What is mélo?

Mélo is a live music marketplace that makes it easy to book grassroots artists for non-traditional gigs—whether it’s a pub, private event, or even your own backyard.

For Artists: Get discovered and booked without agents, awkward negotiations, or playing for “exposure.”

For Venues: Instantly find local talent that fits your vibe, book with one click—no contracts, no middlemen.

For Fans & Private Hosts: Discover emerging artists and book your own gigs—whether it’s a house party, wedding, or park hangout.

How is mélo different from other gig-booking platforms?

Mélo is a true, tech-first marketplace, not a clunky service directory. Unlike platforms that still rely on agents, contracts, and weird pricing schemes, Mélo lets anyone instantly book a band, just like booking an Airbnb.

We also focus on emerging artists—bridging the gap between “open mic” musicians and those getting their first paid gigs.
